Rest Ritual
An 8-week, small group journey into deep rest.
Rest Ritual is a small group journey designed for deeper connection to our bodies and truth through rest.
We begin the week of September 8th.
I’m so happy you’re here.
This offering is near and dear to my heart. It is expanding and getting more rich with each cohort.
Inside, Rest Ritual will orient to simple pleasures, rediscover the sacredness of the mundane, get curious about our relationship to the quiet, and gently experiment with what a life rooted in nourishment and enoughness feels like. Together, we will explore the state of our nervous systems, offer our unique bodies resources to regulate at their own pace and travel through the depths that arise when we pause.
Come as you are — without a mask of perfection or the need to have it all figured out.
Leave having found softness, a deep breath, and joy amid the whirl of the world’s noise.
Investing in the space is an act of community care — with a soft layer of accountability — infused with intuitive teachings, somatic education, embodied writing practices, and deep rest. This is not another course, training, or achievement to check off. This is about turning down the outside volume to tune into your own experience of the moment.
This is about reconnecting to your truth from a place of powerful nourishment.
What if rest was woven into the fabric of your being?
What if its essence could be imprinted into your DNA?
What if the idea of a powerfully nourished woman wasn’t just an archetype you strive toward, but actually an essential aspect of who you are in this moment?
It starts with the choice to opt into deep self-care. Self-care that isn’t surface-level. Transformative self-care that radiates from within.
You do not have to earn rest. It’s yours. Right now.
What’s Included,
Six 60-minute group sessions.
A community WhatsApp messaging group for connection and ongoing conversation as thoughts and questions arise between sessions.
Two built-in and intentional integration weeks.
An optional, daylong Rest Retreat in St. Petersburg, Florida on Saturday, November 8th.

Meet your guide.

I help people expand into their most authentic expression and fullest embodied confidence through writing, movement and reconnection to their bodies.
As a former award-winning journalist, my work has always honored the transformative power of the stories we carry in our bones. Stories can heal. And sharing them — in our words, our bodies, and our lives — is an act of liberation.
For years, I wrote about the depths of the human experience, piercing the surface to hold space for our real, raw truth. My sensitivity to the environment around me shaped my journalism career. As a reporter, I learned the power of witnessing. Since graduating cum laude from Georgetown University with a degree in psychology, my writing has appeared in the Tampa Bay Times, Capital B, CNN, The Marshall Project, and VOX. From a yearlong investigative series that exposed Georgia’s alarming maternal deaths rates to a piece on how Black Americans are healing, my work has always been mission-driven and liberation-based, spotlighting tragedy, trauma and paths towards freedom.
That same thread led me out of full-time journalism into healing work. I originally launched The Stories Within, LLC to support first responders and journalists carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders. The wounded healer. I wanted to offer all that I, at one point, needed — a path back to the body, to inner safety, to self.
We work through the body, attuning to the nervous system, releasing old patterns, and creating safety from within. From there, you can lead from fierce, embodied confidence. Where your voice becomes a source of power. Where expression becomes expansion.
With me, complexity is welcome and nuance is cherished. We hold it all — the fire, the softness, the parts of you still becoming.
This is more than healing.
It’s a coming home to the truth of who we are.
Here for you humbly in service and love.
You are not too much. Your stories are powerful. You are powerful.
The themes we will explore,
What is rest?
Our relationship to rest through our bodies.
Teachings on the female nervous system as well as the languages of the body.
The depths and unraveling that arise as we get quiet. What comes up when you make space?
The spaciousness to soak up the simple pleasures available to us through sensation.
Rest as a practice, not the destination or a means to an end.
The softness and sacredness of each moment. How do we root into the present?
The ways we access both profound clarity and uncertain mystery through rest. What do we do with this complexity? It’s a paradox.
Weaving accessible nourishment into your days.
Rest as the standard and the backbone to your purpose in this world.
This experience is for folks who,
Crave spaciousness and a deep breath amid the constant push to do more.
Desire genuine joy and pleasure with life, detached from accomplishment or achievement.
Are looking for a soft place to land.
Are ready to dive into deeper connection to their bodies, truth and subconscious at their own pace.
Are feeling ungrounded and exhausted.
Envision a life rooted in powerful nourishment for themselves.
Are searching for a space to bring their discomfort around pausing, genuine self-care and rest.
Desire a sweet, supportive community.
Already feel well-rested and resourced, and want to drop into a deeper layer of rootedness, self-understanding and community care.
“Rest Ritual came at a time when I needed it the most. Margo holds such a beautiful space to explore how your body, mind, and soul can work together for your protection and rejuvenation when you take rest and acknowledge what you're going through. I loved Rest Ritual and never wanted it to end. I'm glad that I can incorporate these exercises into my life, and I'm glad I did it with a community of support. Margo is a gentle guide who allows you to show up as you are and adjusts to the needs of all who are involved. I highly recommend Rest Ritual for EVERYONE because there will be a time when life gets overwhelming, and going back to the body and rest will help you get through it. This is a safe and beautiful space to learn.”

Our daylong, deep rest and restore retreat is Saturday, November 8th in St. Petersburg, Florida.
It is an intimate gathering of embodied movement, truth, writing and ceremony where we will return to what has always held us. The body. The breath. The earth beneath our feet. This is a space to rest, reconnect with what’s real and reclaim the parts of you that have been waiting to be remembered.
Over the course of our day together, we will,
Gather with an intention-setting opening ceremony.
Enjoy a 60-minute yoga class composed of a little bit of heat-building flow followed by a series of deeply restorative postures to soften your body and your mind.
Rest with tea, nourishing food and some silence on purpose.
Move with our trauma, grief and rage through Body Temple Dance, an ecstatic, emotional and embodied somatic movement experience created by Adriana Rizzolo.
Create art as an integration and self-expression practice.
End with a powerful, restful closing ceremony.
